Last Friday, May 19, the students of the Umatilla STEAM Academy Afterschool Program had an amazing opportunity to travel to the Shiki Restaurant in Hermiston, OR. This field trip was a part of their "all things Anime" class, which includes learning about the history of Anime, watching movies, practicing their drawing skills, developing stories, and, of course, indulging in their favorite cuisine - Sushi! For many of the students, it was not only their first time eating Sushi but also their first time using chopsticks. Thank you to the STEAM Academy for making this experience possible for our students! — El pasado viernes 19 de mayo, los estudiantes del programa Umatilla STEAM Academy tuvieron la increíble oportunidad de viajar al restaurante Shiki en Hermiston, OR. Esta excursión fue parte de su clase de "todo lo relacionado con el anime", que incluye aprender sobre la historia del anime, ver películas, practicar sus habilidades de dibujo, desarrollar historias y, por supuesto, disfrutar de su cocina favorita: ¡sushi!
