Students and parents, do you need internet? We have more hotspots in stock and ready for check out.

Remember, this Friday is State In-Service Day. There is no school.

We are so proud of our September Students of the Month as they have been logging in to their live google meets, participating in class and completing their work on time. Distance learning can be challenging, but these students have worked hard and found a way to thrive during this time! Congrats to the following 11th and 12th grade students: Perla Leon Mendoza, Armando Arroyo, Jennifer Rincon, and Cristian Alaniz Benitez.

Please bring extra help, a wagon or backpack, or strong muscles to meal pickup today. We now provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. Thursday’s deliveries include Friday’s meals. Thank you, Nutrition Team!

Tonight at 7 pm get involved in our Friday night fun. Head outside and yell "Go Vikings" to support everyone who is missing out on school, athletics and activities. We may be isolated but we are always there for each other.

We will be starting MAPS testing at the high school Monday, Sept. 14. Students will receive an invite from their Advisory teacher. They must log on their computer sometime between 9:15-11:30 or 1:30-4:00. Teachers will lead them through the testing process. There will be no regular classes this week due to testing.

Free Sports Physicals
Free Sports Physicals will be at UHS from 2-5 PM by Family Health Associates on Wednesday, Sept 9th. Masks are required and be aware of distancing during this process. NEW physicals are required for all current 7th, 9th, and 11th graders who would like to do athletics during the next two years. Current 8th, 10th, and 12th graders who had a physical last year DO NOT need one, but if you didn't receive a physical last year and would like to participate this year you will need to get one.

Absences are excused today. If students are able to login, we are here and ready. If students are unable to login, please do not worry. There is no need to phone/email to excuse, we know your plate is extra full today. Meals will be delivered today, please be patient, some routes will be more challenging and could cause delays. Stay safe, Umatilla!

Looking for this year's school supply list? Stop looking, because it does not exist. We know times are stressful with COVID so we used our donations from Amazon to purchase the following for each student:
1) Earbuds with microphone for online learning
2) Neck buff (for when we return to onsite hybrid instruction)
In addition, each student will have a Chromebook checked out for his/her/their use. A mouse is available for Kinder and first grade students and students with special needs for whom operating the mousepad on the Chromebook is challenging.
Also, basic supplies (pencils, pens, crayons, paper, etc.) will be on meal buses. If you need a supply, just ask at meal delivery. If projects require additional supplies, they'll be sent home on buses as well.
