We appreciate our dedicated School Board! There are just a few weeks left to NOMINATE school district employees for the 2024 Crystal Apple Awards.
These awards honor district employees who are doing an outstanding job in their work and making a difference for students.
Who CAN nominate? Anyone can nominate an employee -- administrators, teachers, paraeducators, other school staff, parents or community members.
Who can BE nominated? Nominees can be any full-time or part-time employee who has a cumulative total of regular service of at least one year in the school district. Licensed, classified, any employee group is eligible.

Thank you, Officer Wilson, for presenting to our students at CBMS this week the risks associated with alcohol consumption! During the presentation, students had the opportunity to participate in a fun activity where they wore goggles designed to simulate the effects of alcohol.

Students and their families are invited to see their teachers working at McDonalds! Students will get to see their teachers behind the scenes passing out food, selling cookies, and much more.
Join us on March 19th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Hermiston McDonalds to enjoy one of the “Happiest Meals” ever.

We're 'striking' up some fun at CBMS! The 6th-grade class hit their growth goals for all three MAPs tests and had a blast celebrating at the bowling alley last week.

¡Estamos divirtiéndonos en CBMS! La clase de grado seis alcanzaron sus objetivos de crecimiento en las tres pruebas MAP y se divirtieron muchísimo celebrando en jugando boliche la semana pasada.
Our students' designs are zipping through the classroom! In Mr. Russell’s exploring trades classes, students put together balloon cars that they designed and 3-D printed themselves. They conducted tests to measure speed and distance, and used the engineering design process to make improvements to their cars. For their next project, they are currently working on building circuits.

En las clases de exploración de oficios del Sr. Russell, los estudiantes armaron autos con globos que ellos mismos diseñaron e imprimieron en 3D. CBMS wrapped up their girls' basketball season with a spirited game among the players! They also hosted a special halftime show featuring a raffle for students who demonstrated exceptional growth on their MAPs testing!
