The Umatilla High School is accepting donations of formal wear for UHS students to use for Homecoming! Donations can be dropped off at the high school office Mon-Friday from 7am - 3pm.

The Clara Brownell Middle School football game against Central has been moved to this Wednesday, September 14th at 4pm.

Due to poor air quality, the Umatilla High School JV football game has been moved to Heppner. The game is still scheduled to start at 5pm. Please be aware that players will return to school sometime between 8:30-9:00pm. Poor air quality is likely to be with us this week. This will cause changes to our outdoor sports activities. We will keep you posted on all the changes.

The Umatilla High School theme this year is Choose to SHINE! We want students and staff to focus on letting themselves be seen at school and in after-school activities, sports, and/or clubs. Every week we will recognize three students and one staff member who has Chose to SHINE. We are so proud of our first two weeks' winners! The high school soccer games for today, September 2nd, are canceled. The rescheduled dates are:
September 10 - Varsity Girls Soccer vs Trout Lake at 11am
October 10 - Varsity Boys Soccer vs Dayton at 3pm

Today, students reported seeing an unattended gun in the backyard of a home neighboring the McNary Heights playground. Police were phoned and the school was placed in a precautionary secure status. In a secure status, students have normal school activities but remain in a locked school.
Police responded promptly and located a BB gun pistol that had been accidentally left outside.
Students are back to normal activities and everyone is safe.
We are proud of our Mustangs for seeing and reporting a concern promptly and for school staff in a fast response. Thank you, Umatilla Police for your outstanding service to our students.
McNary Heights is in a secure status due to a situation in the neighborhood. There is no concern within the school. Students are safe and participating in normal school activities within the building.

STEAM Registration forms are available at all 3 schools. Forms must be turned in by Thursday September 1st! Late forms will be accepted; however, the first date of attendance and class placement will depend on availability.

Happy In-Service Day! All district staff met today for our annual kickoff meeting and luncheon. We had nearly 300 staff in attendance, many of which are UHS Alumni! We would like to give a huge shout out to Umatilla Food Service and UEA for breakfast, AJ’s Printing for staff shirts, and Hermiston Safeway for providing sandwiches and for their wonderful service!
