Today, the Oregon Health Authority announced that mask requirements for schools will cease March 31st, 2022. This means that we will be able to move forward with our original mask-optional plans for the year as we intended for the 2021-22 school year.
The information and related requirements/details were just released today. We will work with staff over the next few weeks to finalize our mask optional plans and will have those out for public comment before the April 1st mask-optional implementation date. It is important to note that we’re still required to mask in school settings until April 1st.
Please continue your patience with us we work to navigate this ever-changing landscape. We are excited to move forward with mask-optional options but want to make sure we have our plan fully prepared as there are many parts to the shift.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Superintendent

Due to continued inclement weather and road conditions, school is canceled today, January 6th, for all Umatilla schools.

Due to snow, all Umatilla schools are on a three hour delay for Thursday, January 6th. Please make a backup plan in case cancellation becomes necessary. We will drive again in the morning and provide additional updates by 8 am.
The three hour delay is simply three hours later than normal. The class schedule for CBMS/UHS is here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bx8jtFvnSfWqMEV1eTctcmlLdHVjbEFfTklEci1ZTWd2QTA0/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msexcel&resourcekey=0-Zx843EjkWP5nG6VgrTXVVg

There have been quite a few questions regarding school Monday due to the winter procedures information. The morning drive Monday was fine, it has warmed up significantly, school is on-time and in-session. Forecasts are mixed today with some showing freezing rain or snow and some showing rain. Please make alternate plans for after-school activities as in case freezing rain arrives, we’ll cancel practices. We’ll make that final decision as the day progresses and will announce such changes if necessary but don’t want you caught off-guard.

America is the land of the free because of the brave. Reminder, there is no school, Thursday, November 11th, in honor of Veteran's Day. There is also no school, Friday, November 12th due to conferences.
