Congratulations, Honor Roll students! At today’s assembly, CBMS celebrated students who made the Honor Roll (had a 3.5 GPA or higher for 2nd quarter) with a tug-a-war contest! The 8th-grade Honor Roll students won the tournament and got to compete against the teachers!

Congratulations, UHS Wrestling! Justus took 1st at 220 and us a District Champion! Luis 2nd at 220 and Jose took 3rd. All three wrestlers are headed to State. We are proud of you, Vikings!
Clara Brownell Middle School students spent the day yesterday rocking the MAPs tests! Several fun activities were planned throughout the day, including a special lunch, a dress-for-success dress-up day, snacks, and an extended lunch and recess to encourage students to do their best! A majority of students were able to complete their testing and many students also met their growth targets! CBMS celebrated students who met their growth goals with various incentives. Thank you to our students and staff for all your hard work! We are proud of you!

¡Los estudiantes de la Escuela Secundaria Clara Brownell pasaron el día de ayer sacudiendo las pruebas de MAP! What another successful Family Night! Thank you to all the friends and families who joined us for our Family Night and Resource Fair last Friday. Families enjoyed food, music, face painting, and connecting with various resource organizations. Families also viewed dance performances from attendees of the Migrant Education Program Folkloric dance classes. Clara Brownell Middle School leadership students are working hard to prepare for next week's MAP testing day! On Thursday, February 9, students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will take winter MAP assessments in Reading, Language Usage, and Mathematics. It is an exciting day for students to demonstrate their learning and growth so far this school year. With special snacks, activities, and prizes, it will surely be a day of fun and celebration! Huge thank you to our leadership students for all their hard work and preparation for testing day.
To help your student prepare for MAP testing day, please be sure they get a good night's sleep before test day and that they bring their fully-charged Chromebook to school on testing day.
