CBMS seventh grade students explored some Thanksgiving-themed experiments on Tuesday, November 23rd in Mrs. Millard’s third period class.
First, they mixed Coca-Cola and milk, and after seeing the results of phosphoric acid on calcium, determined that drinking too much soda can affect your health adversely. They also used fresh and dried cranberries in water and 7-Up to explore liquids, solids and gases.
Finally, they did a physics experiment about gravity with four students balancing on each other to make a table. “If your family needs an extra table at Thanksgiving, you can help out!” joked Mrs. Millard.
Happy Thanksgiving, Vikings!
