UMATILLA 10, SHERMAN 3 — The Vikings broke open a close game with eight over the last two innings for a road win over the Huskies.

Umatilla (7-2) trailed 3-2 heading into the top of the sixth inning, where it scored three runs to take a 5-3 lead.

Bryce Morris put a run across the plate with a sacrifice fly, one run scored on a passed ball and the third came on an RBI single by Carter Monahan.

In the top of the seventh, the Vikings scored five runs, highlighted by a two-run triple by Dominick McCallister, and RBI singles from Morris, RJ Estrada and Davis Garcia.

Umatilla pitcher Carter Griggs shut down the Huskies in the bottom of the seventh, striking out two and ground out to end the game Davis Raymond picked up the win for the Vikings, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out eight.
