Students from Umatilla Morrow County Head Start recently took a fun field trip to McNary Heights Elementary, where many of them will start kindergarten next year!
Principal Coyle gave them a special tour around the school, stopping at all the cool places they’ll get to explore soon. They visited the kindergarten classrooms, checked out the counseling room, and even met their future PE teacher, Mrs. Lorence, who introduced them to what PE is all about and led a fun obstacle course activity.
The highlight of the trip for many students was the playground! They laughed, climbed, ran, and made sure everyone got a turn on the slide.
The trip ended with story time in the library, where Library Assistant Mrs. Prindle read them a book. Many students were thrilled to recognize the school from visiting older siblings, and they were excited to come back next year as Mustangs.
Kindergarten, here they come!
