UMATILLA 51, MCLOUGHLIN 44 — David Garcia scored eight of his 11 points in the fourth quarter to help the Vikings fend off the Pioneers for an Eastern Oregon League home win.
Each team scored 16 points in the first quarter, then Umatilla (15-overall, 3-2 EOL) went on a 12-8 run in the second for a 28-24 lead at the half.
Rajdeep Singh scored seven points in the third quarter to help pull Mac-Hi within 38-36 with one quarter to play.
Micheal Montez led the Vikings with 19 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Mike McGee chipped in 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.
Singh led Mac-Hi (7-12, 2-3) with 21 points, six rebounds and two steals, with Giovanny Sandoval adding 13 points and five rebounds.

UMATILLA 39, MCLOUGHLIN 22 — Alyiah Howard scored a game- high 13 points as the Vikings beat the visiting Pioneers and improved to 3-2 in the Eastern Oregon League standings.
Umatilla (11-7 overall) led from the get-go, posting a 15-5 lead after the first quarter, and 23-8 at the half.
Miley Rhoads scored six points in the third quarter as Mac-Hi (2-15, 0-5) went on a 12-2 run to pull within 29-20, but the Vikings finished the game with a 10-2 scoring spurt in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Ruby Chavez added 11 points for the Vikings, while EvaLynn Campos had five.
Rhoads led Mac-Hi with 11 points, while Lainie Ellis and Aisling Giguiere each had five.
