UMATILLA 64, NYSSA 49 — Micheal Montez had a game-high 18 points and four assists to lead the Vikings to an Eastern Oregon League home win over the Bulldogs.

Umatilla (13-4 overall, 1-2 EOL) jumped out to a 17-7 lead after the first quarter, and had a 30-22 lead at the half.

The Vikings used a 34-27 scoring spree in the second half to secure the win.

David Garcia added 15 points, three assists and two steals for the Vikings, while Mike McGee chipped in 13 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots and three assists.

Tony Gomeza had 14 points for the Bulldogs (10-8, 1-3), while Kingston Bias had 10 points, all in the second half.

Girls Basketball
UMATILLA 44, NYSSA 32 — Shay McCallister scored 10 of her 15 points in the first half to lead the Vikings to an Eastern Oregon  League home win of the Bulldogs.

The teams were tied 23-23 at the half, and Umatilla made it 31-29 after three. The Vikings went on a 13-3 run in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Alyiah Howard added eight points for Umatilla (10-6 overall, 2-1 EOL), while EvaLynn Campos added seven.

Nyssa (6-11, 1-3) got eight points from Nevaeh Scott and six from Addie Cleaver.
