Boys Basketball 
UMATILLA 86, RIVER VIEW (WA) 25 — The Vikings got out to a 50-18 lead at the half and never looked back in beating the Panthers on the road. Umatilla (2-0) played a solid game with just 10 turnovers and 19 steals. Micheal Montez led the way for the Vikings with 19 points, eight assists and three steals. Carter Monahan added 17 points and three steals, Mike McGee had 15 points and five rebounds, and Atticus Tesch had 12 points. Davis Raymond had a team-high seven rebounds and three steals.

Girls Basketball 
UMATILLA 43, RIVER VIEW (WA) 11 — The Vikings improved to 2-0 on the young season with a road win over the Panthers. Umatilla jumped out to a 17-8 lead at the half, then held River View scoreless in the third to take a 28-8 lead. The Vikings outscored the Panthers 15-3 in the fourth to leave no doubt. EvaLynn Campos led the Viking with 10 points, while Alyssa Bow added eight and Shay McCallister seven.
