On November 20th, Umatilla High School proudly hosted its Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of outstanding alumni, dedicated staff, and distinguished community members. This annual event honors individuals who have excelled in athletics, academics, or their careers, as well as those who have made exceptional contributions to the school and community.

The evening featured a special dinner, bringing attendees and their families together to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s honorees. The Hall of Fame selection committee prepared speeches highlighting each inductee’s achievements and the reasons for their induction. Each honoree was also presented with a handcrafted plaque created by students in the high school’s shop class.

Superintendent Sipe highlighted the dedication of the selection committee, noting their extensive efforts: “We appreciate the work put forth by the selection committee of the Alumni Association to identify Hall of Fame Inductees. They spent hours in the newspaper archives researching and selecting outstanding role models for future Vikings.”

To ensure these achievements are remembered, the names and accomplishments of the inductees will be displayed on a digital screen at the high school. This ongoing tribute will serve as a source of inspiration for students and visitors for years to come.
