High School Building

Umatilla High School is a 3A school with approximately 400 students, 25 teachers and licensed members and 18 classified staff members. We have a dedicated and highly qualified staff that provides our students with an educational experience that prepares them for college and career opportunities. Beyond our core courses, we provide students the opportunity to experience classes in CTE course in computer systems, woods, metals, and robotics.  Many of our advanced courses in science, math, foreign language, social sciences provide students with dual credit opportunities.  We are very proud of our School Board's commitment to exposing our students to college courses and their priority to pay for the credits earned by our students.  This past year, 66 our of 97 seniors earned 2,277 college credits either through dual credit, Eastern Promise or online College courses.  This would equal a cost to our students of $330,165 if they attended BMCC on their own.  We had 12 students graduate with both a high school and 2 year college AAOT degree.  The class of 2020 will be remembered for having every senior who started the year and ending year with us graduating.

Umatilla High School is a place were we seek to get students involved.  We have many opportunities for students to explore their individual differences by becoming part of a club or team.  We offer many opportunities either through our after school program, athletics, and service clubs.

Our focus on high standards and the belief that our students will rise to the challenge continues to show results.  We raised our graduation rate in 2019 to 84%, 5 points above the state average.  We also exceeded the state average in every single student group.  The staff at Umatilla High School is committed to a "no excuses" mindset.  We will work to insure students who commit to good attendance, try their best and buy into our vision, they will find success.

We are proud of our community and are very thankful for their support in all that we do for their children!
