Information for Parents about School Delays/Closures

With the arrival of winter weather, we would like to remind parents/families about our district policy. If school is delayed or closed, the information is posted by 6:00 AM on:

  • District Website
  • District Facebook page
  • Mobile App
  • Automated calling system
  • Regional media outlets (newspaper online, radio, tv stations)

The location with the most accurate information is the district website. If schools must close early, notification is given using the same method. If no notice is posted, school is running on regular schedule. For questions, please call the District Office or your child’s school.


Public Invited to Oregon Dept. of Education Session in Pendleton -- POSTPONED due to weather

School district administrators and staff, students, parents and community members from across eastern Oregon are invited to attend a community feedback session about education in Oregon on Wednesday, January 18 at 6:30 PM at Washington Elementary School in Pendleton, located at 1205 SE Byers Avenue. The event is FREE and open to the public.

This event is part of a series of feedback sessions being organized by the Oregon Department of Education across the state for people to give input on Oregon’s State Plan to improve student learning and determine how we can best support our schools to meet the needs of each and every student.
